Chroms Steel Coil refers to a steel plate with a layer of chromium on its surface. In order to prevent the surface of the steel plate  from corrosion and extend its service life, a layer of metal chromium is applied on the surface of the steel plate. Chroms Steel Coil is a frequently used and effective anti-corrosion method.

The structure of Chroms Steel Coil has four layers: steel substrate, metal chromium layer, hydrated chromium oxide layer and oil film.Due to the same substrate, mechanical properties and tinplate, but in the application of some of its own characteristics:

1. The cost is about 10% lower than that of tin plate, and the appearance gloss is not as good as that of tin plate.

2. Corrosion resistance is not as good as tinplate, thin coating and high pinhole rate, so the inside and outside surfaces should be coated.

3. Chrome-plated plate has strong adhesion, the adhesion of organic coating is 3 ~ 6 times stronger than tin plate.Corrosion resistance to vulcanization is also stronger than tin plate.

4. Chrome plate can not be soldering, only use lap resistance welding or bonding.

5. The coating is thin and poor toughness, easy to break cans, so it is not suitable for deep drawing cans.

6. Chromium plating plate high temperature resistance, generally no obvious change in color and hardness at 5000 ℃, to 7000 ℃ began to become soft.
